My partner and I just got married at the Lamb inn on 20/03/24
This lovely pub/inn lives up to the lovely photos on its website and more.
We wanted a elopement wedding and Nick, Vikky and the rest of the staff was soo amazing.
We had to bring our daughters last min and it was no issue at all, everyone was so accommodating..
I was greeted by a very friendly member of staff screaming, 'eek your the groom'
Was lovely.
Nick was constantly helping and ensuring was we OK.
He even knew the nerves were kicking in and even offered me on my wedding day to go pour my own pint.
Vikky was lovely, helping my beautiful wife into her dress and running around turning music on and filming our wedding. She also help us pick our photographer Hannah Frost who is amazing and finding a place for my wife to get her hair done.
She made me laugh as my partner was ready coming from our suite.. shouting at me 'get in now!!' It was charming she cared so much.
I had the best day of my life at this place with these wonderful people.
The food..... omg the burger, the burger is the best burger I've ever ate.
My wife had the brownie for pudding on our wedding meal and she told Nick was the best brownie she's eaten.
The breakfast was lovely.. we didn't realise had to book in a time and was early but Nick did his best and got us seated an fed.
The venue... I LOVE IT!!!!
The garden, is beautiful honestly I took photos of everything, I fell in love with the place. The cobble road outside the pub, the path leading up to our suite, ahh its beautiful. They have a huge tree, a place for young kids to play, the outside garden has a throne.. which I obviously sat on. My wedding pics look amazing cause of this place.
Inside its very clean and rustic vibe.
The fireplace is stunning. The tap room has a novelty sheep's head (don't worry it's a toy not a real sheep's head lol)
The whole place blew me away and I just had the best of time.
My wife and I will travel another 6 hours to get to you as we live in Lincolnshire because The Lamb Inn is apart of my love story.

Perfect wedding venue

We had our wedding day at the Lamb Inn in Sandford on Friday 1st Sept 2023.

We cannot rate this place highly enough and would rate it 10 out of 5 for every aspect if we could!

From the first contact with Nick and Vicky to our goodbyes after the wedding it was just perfection. We wanted a laid back wedding, with some formalities and traditions and that’s exactly what we got.

Nick and Vicky reassured us that no question or request would be deemed as silly and they would do their best to accommodate us and we instantly felt at ease.

We were able to decorate the Dorwich room ourselves and we had our day as we dreamed of without rules and restrictions being placed on us.

Vicky was a superstar, in ‘hosting’ our day. She remembered all the small details that were really important to us and was there when we needed her, without being intrusive.

The food and drink was phenomenal, memorably enjoyed by our guests both with a plainer and those with a more adventurous palate. We opted for the sharing platters, which were plentiful - our guests could eat as much or as little as they wanted. The two children we had as guests (included a gluten free child) were accommodated for well and the one vegetarian had a choice of their meal in advance.

The venue itself was perfect and quaint. Fortunately the sun shone on us on our day and we had our ceremony outside on the stage, with our guests in the pub garden, but even plan ‘b’ (inside the pub) would have been great too.

We stayed the night in the garden room, which was comfortable, luxurious, well equipped (even with a sturdy hook to hang a wedding dress from) . We used the room as a getting ready area and also where the ‘bridal party walk began from.

We can not recommend The Lamb Inn highly enough. We, and all our guests ranging from 8 to 86 years had a great time.

Thank you to Nick and Vicky and the other staff who made our wedding day all we dreamed of and more.

Our Wedding Day

From the moment we walked through the door, we knew this was the venue for us. Having travelled to The Lamb for a Sunday roast, we got home and booked the venue for our wedding the following day. Leading up to our wedding day, nothing was too much trouble for Nick and the team. On the day of our arrival, we were allowed to check in early to get settled and relaxed after a long drive. The rooms were comfortable and clean making for a relaxing start to the wedding day. We were given free reign of the pub and we were able to decorate how we saw fit. Throughout the day the team were on hand as and when required whilst keeping a low profile during the important parts of the day leaving us and our guests to enjoy the ceremony. Being such a small group of only 8, everyone was able to choose what they wanted from the menu which added to the flexibility throughout. The food was delicious, some of if not the best we have ever had. The chef is very talented showcasing a variety of flavours and also catering to our guests individual dietary requirements. This will not be our last visit and we would recommend The Lamb to anyone. Thank you to Nick & the team.

We got married here 19th February.

It was amazing, from the moment we arrived on the Friday to the moment we left on the Sunday after Sunday dinner it was just a dream!

Friday our 38 guests arrived, we all was catered for beautiful, food was delicious, everyone commented on how beautiful the food was!

Saturday the wedding was beautifully Orchestrated, the wedding coordinator Phoebe was behind the scenes running everything so smoothly and well.

Food was superb as well as the service!

Everyone had the best time.

Sunday everyone left but us the newly married couple sat in front of the fire eating our gorgeous Sunday lunch drinking red wine.

All the rooms were gorgeous and our wedding suite was perfect and a good size to get my bridesmaids and myself ready for the big day.

While I was getting ready and unable to leave the room the service I had by Nick was Impeccable and so attentive, coffee and breakfast was brought to my room and every need met throughout the day.
